I put a huge amount of thought and effort into your training. I believe that the mind must be trained to maximise the training of the body. Training must be specific to you, not simply taken from a book, functional to help you in your everyday life or chosen activities and effective. Otherwise we’re just wasting your time! Why sit on machines you don’t need to use, or go through pointless gimmick exercises? We all have limited time and energy and must use it well.

I have always been involved in physical training, from successful representative schoolboy athlete and rugby player, through a career in the armed forces and physical education. My diverse experience and skills mean I will get the most out of you, and you will see results. No gimmicks, fads, or pointless showboat exercises. If it’s not specific to what you need, functional to help you achieve your goals and effective, you won’t do it! I will discuss your goals, needs and programmes with you at every stage. I won’t drive you without explanation, instead I will provide you with skills and knowledge to help you make good choices.

I believe that health and fitness are best served by a holistic approach, examining each element in turn and how it affects the others, then adjusting them to suit the individual. I have a scientific, analytical approach so I can understand every aspect of your training and needs. I can help you to lose weight for specific events such as weddings and holidays but my approach will show you how fitness should be a permanent lifestyle choice and encourage you to maintain and update your fitness goals. My fitness and nutrition programmes are individually tailored to get the most from my client and provide the results they need, provided they put in the required amounts of hard work, discipline and sense of humour! I will expect you to work, as I will not take your money for nothing! In turn clients can expect an unequalled level of support, motivation and exceptional knowledge and communications skills from me. I am always expanding my own knowledge and pushing my own limits, and will do the same for my clients.

My NLP skills underpin everything that I do with you. I will work hard to identify how you learn and train, and how to challenge you. I frequently talk to clients who feel they are losing their motivation or struggling with nutrition, and help them to identify where the problems are and overcome them. Often people think the mind is willing but the flesh is weak. I look at it differently. You may be surprised what is really happening with your training and lifestyle. Your mind is the most powerful tool you possess. If the mind is trained correctly, the flesh will do as it’s told!
